After a combined 77 years of service to Memorial we fondly say goodbye and thank you to Mr. Borges, Mr. Danks-Ferguson, Ms. Hathaway and Ms. Zanutto. Mr. Borges spent his first 6 years here as the Principal and then taught in the classroom for the last 8 years. Mr. Danks-Ferguson has taught religion for the entire 32 years he taught at SJM and also coached the Cross Country team for 31 years. Ms. Hathaway has taught 2 and 3D Art for 8 years and was the Yearbook Advisor for the last 4 years. Ms. Zanutto has taught 2D Art and AP Art, and took students on 4 European trips: France, Italy, Spain and England. We will miss them on campus. We appreciate all that they have contributed to this school. Stowed away on a work trip to Israel 🇮🇱 and we're taking in this Holy Land with incredibly kind people. Toured the site of Christ's birthplace in Bethlehem, crossing into Palestine 🇵🇸 along back alleyways, switching drivers and guides to usher us in and out of the countries. Then found our way back in Israel 🇮🇱 by the grace of God - visited the Church ⛪️ of the Holy Sepulcher where Jesus was crucified, died and is buried. Wall of David and the Market Bazaar. Car crash fender bender with our Israeli guide added to the excitement and the start of an incredible journey emotional, powerful. Beyond words.
