Well, we are on the final leg of our journey and are spending our last night on the road back where we started in Sparks, Nev
Discovered an interesting hobby while driving through The Great State of Nevada. (See attached pic’s) Love the creative signage
Home tomorrow after the snow on the summit clears.
Great adventure’s throughout the trip especially with my Aunt and Uncle in SLC at the end. Highly entertaining and enlightening
I’ll sum up tomorrow but until then Happy Trails to all

Took a most interesting tour of the world’s largest open pit mine just outside SLC. The pic’s do not show the magnitude of this dig but it is 3 miles and at least a mile deep across just to give you some perspective
The tire for the trucks alone is 12 ft tall
Then toured downtown SLC which is largely dominated by the Mormons and their cult like presence.Approx 55% of SLC is LDS with many young pregnant  Mom’s and their kids everywhere. Never have I seen anything like it. Kinda feel like we are under surveillance all of the time. Spooky. Maybe I’ll convert and get a bike, a dark plain suit(No pinstriped-God forbid), a white shirt and thin black tie. Wait!! All I wouldthen need would be a black fedora and dark sunglasses and I could also be in the Blues Brothers
Anyway I digress
After our day touring SLC we went back to the campground and checked out the weather forecast which called for high winds for the desert which didn’t look good.
So we slipped out of SLC under cover of darkness(Remember they are still watching) and headed west past the Great Lake and the Bonneville Salt Flats
Made it to Elko and spent  the night and are heading out to Reno and maybe home this morning
It has been a wonderful adventure and journey for the 3 of us
Until Next Time
Happy Trails to You and Yourn

Well finally got out of townon Tuesday night after closing a tough deal for a client
Made it to Reno and stayed at a great Rv Park in Sparks.
Hit the road at 6am (a bit late for me but still too early for Bodacious who bitched and moaned a great deal) actually she was and is a great trooper
Never knew Nevada could be so barren and desolate but still beautiful
The highlight of the day was lunch in Wells, Nev.  population 1531
4 restaurants, 1 gas station and 2 brothels. Donna’s and Bella’s.  Go figure!!
Stopped and lost some dinero in Jackpot, last Nevada town before Idaho
Anyway, traveled exactly 500 miles today from Reno to Declo, Idaho. camping rt on the Snake River which is beautiful. Actually ordered pizza delivered after this long day
Tomorrow only a short 222 miles to West Yellowstone  for 3-4 nights and then on to parts unknown
As always, may your sails be full and your trails clear

Enjoyed spending time with Chelsea in Eugene.
She loves University of Oregon!

John and Westin Westin I’m not sure what Mama Dede would say about the Dodgers, but then she loved her grandchildren fiercely.  She didn’t ...
