Dear
Friends and Family,
The 2013 Fresno Walk to End Alzheimer’s is
quickly approaching and we hope that you will assist us in reaching our team
goal.
Last year the Fresno Walk to End Alzheimer’s
raised a whopping $86,000 and had more than 800 people participate! This year
the Fresno Walk to End Alzheimer’s is taking place at Copper River Ranch Park
and The Eaton Trail on Saturday, September 28. The goal
is to raise $100,000 for Alzheimer’s programs, services, and research.
This walk is personal. Our team, DemKitty’s, is
walking in honor of Grampa Kei Kitahara and has set a team goal of $3000.
We are excited about our objective and we hope you will join in our efforts to
help us reach it.
Today, Alzheimer’s disease is the 6th
leading cause of death in the United States and affects over 25,000 Fresno area
residents. The Alzheimer’s Association is the nation’s leader in funding
innovative research for a cure. Proceeds also provide services in the form of
support groups, a toll-free 24 hour telephone helpline, and information and
education programs.
Together, we can continue to make a difference in
the lives of Alzheimer’s patients and their families. Contributions can be
mailed to the address below AND CHECKS MADE OUT TO ALZHEIMER’S ASSOCIATION or made online at Alz.org. Select “Donate”
and search for either team DemKitty or participant Krystal Kitahara.
Much love,
Krystal Kitahara
