Halloween is right around the corner and I've created Halloween and Harvest wreaths in hopes of rescuing and finding a home for the animals least likely to be adopted by a loving family and most likely to be euthanized; Black cats. Each wreath is uniquely created with a black cat in the center of it.  The cat can be removed so that you can also utililze the wreath for the remainder of the fall season. The larger wreaths are going for $45 (shipping costs are not included). The smaller wreaths are going for $30.  All funds that are raised will be donated to PetsUnlimited in San Francisco- an organization also dedicated to finding black cats a home; as well as Tony La Russa's Animal Rescue Foundation in Walnut Creek.

If you are interested in decorating your door for a great cause please contact me at lisademera@gmail.com or by phone (916) 212-0724.  If you have the Venmo application on your iphone you can also add me as a friend and create a payment method through the application.

Chelsea got her wisdom out yesterday.
Ann Marie Grady DDS was the surgeon. She was very professional, sweet and compassionate.
She was my student in 5th grade, she was always a sweet heart.
Most of you know the Grady family. I highly recommend her.

Dear Friends and Family,

The 2013 Fresno Walk to End Alzheimer’s is quickly approaching and we hope that you will assist us in reaching our team goal.

Last year the Fresno Walk to End Alzheimer’s raised a whopping $86,000 and had more than 800 people participate! This year the Fresno Walk to End Alzheimer’s is taking place at Copper River Ranch Park and The Eaton Trail on Saturday, September 28. The goal is to raise $100,000 for Alzheimer’s programs, services, and research.

This walk is personal. Our team, DemKitty’s, is walking in honor of Grampa Kei Kitahara and has set a team goal of $3000.  We are excited about our objective and we hope you will join in our efforts to help us reach it.

Today, Alzheimer’s disease is the 6th leading cause of death in the United States and affects over 25,000 Fresno area residents. The Alzheimer’s Association is the nation’s leader in funding innovative research for a cure. Proceeds also provide services in the form of support groups, a toll-free 24 hour telephone helpline, and information and education programs.

Together, we can continue to make a difference in the lives of Alzheimer’s patients and their families. Contributions can be mailed to the address below AND CHECKS MADE OUT TO ALZHEIMER’S ASSOCIATION  or made online at Alz.org. Select “Donate” and search for either team DemKitty or participant Krystal Kitahara.

If you have any questions please feel free to contact me at 559.304.9206 or at kkitahara48@gmail.com.

Much love,
Krystal Kitahara
