James DeMera Sr. was a good looking dashing young man. A very hard worker who worked at least two jobs and the Bank and played music at night.....We knew him as Grampa, a soft spoken loving man. If he spoke it was always words of encouragement and meaning. I was fortunate being the oldest to see him at his prime with family around before he had medical conditions that slowed him. Always loving memories of him.

We grew up knowing her as Gramma and in the kitchen with an apron on.

As soon as we walked in the door, "Go wash your hands". We were all lucky to be part of her life, teaching us all how to cook ........... in a loving way. Except sometimes there was the wooden spoon- said Mark. lol
